Guardianship Docket Hearing Request Form

Set or Pass Hearings

Settings for Probate Court 1 Only

The Guardianship Docket is heard each Wednesday at 11:00am. Requests must be received by 5:00pm on the Wednesday before the hearing date. This form is to set uncontested hearings of the following nature:

Establish Guardianship
Modify Guardianship (including partial restoration)
Complete Restoration
Resign/Appoint Successor Guardian
Establish 867 Trust
Modify 867 Trust
Transfer

Once you have sent your information, you should receive confirmation via email within 4 business hours. If you do not receive confirmation within 4 business hours, please contact the Court at 713-368-6700. If you need confirmation sooner, please contact the court directly.

Practice Tip: The Current Guardianship Docket in the "Links" box shows the dockets for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Check it first to see whether there is an available position on the docket for the date you are requesting. Each week's docket can generally accomodate up to 6 guardianship hearings.
